Part 1. Capture Windows Screen
Step 1: Install FonePaw Screen Recorder
Get FonePaw Screen Recorder on your Windows computer and enter the homepage. Then, select the recording type to get started, e.g: Video Recorder or Audio Recorder.
Step 2: Customize Your Settings
If you go to video recording, select the region to capture. You can choose the preset size or customize as you like. Besides, it is possible to set up the output settings: output format, video quality, frame rate, etc.
Note: If you have selected Audio Recorder, you're able to record the system sound and microphone. It is allowed to adjust the volume as you want.
Step 3: Go Capturing Your Windows Screen
When everything is ready, just begin to capture with clicking REC button or applying the hotkeys that you preset before. While recording, the program provides some features for you to take a note, especially if you tend to add annotation to certain interface. Arrow, line, rectangle, text and more can be used to annotate.
Step 4: Preview and Share
After capturing, you can play the video and save it in certain folder on your Windows 10/8/7/XP.
In this interface, you can rename the recording: select the ideal recording in the left side > click Pencil icon to edit > type the new name.
Part 2. Record Mac Screen
Step 1: Launch the Program on Macbook
Install FonePaw Screen Recorder on your Mac computer and launch it. Then, you will see the homepage of the software.
Step 2: Customize Your Settings
To create your own recording, you can move to customize your settings: select the area, turn on/adjust the microphone, track mouse cursor and record with webcam or not.
Note: If you don't want to always click the button to begin or stop recording, hotkeys may be helpful for you. Go to "Preference" to set it up.
Step 3: Start Recording
Hit the REC button or use the hotkeys to begin recording your screen activities. You are allowed to record with or without audio and webcam. During capturing, you are able to take a note on the recording, e.g.: add text to the interface, add arrow to give direction and more.
Step 4: Preview and Share
When you stop recording, you can click the button next to Preference to preview the history. Select the video/image that you captured just now to preview and share with your friends.
