To successfully recover files from your Android mobile phone, you need to install FonePaw app on your device and grant permission to the app so that it could access your storage to find more items.
What is FonePaw app?
FonePaw app is different from the software on computer. It should be installed on Android phone when using FonePaw Android Data Recovery since it could detect your phone storage to get the deleted files back to you. Don't worry about the security. Before installing, FonePaw Android Data Recovery will ask you whether to install so it is up to you. It is safe and you can uninstall it after recovering data.
When you agree to have it on your phone, click "Install" button on device to install this app via USB.
Note: Before installing, please enable "Install via USB" option in "Developer options". Just follow the steps below.
How to Grant FonePaw Permission to Scan Data?
Similar to other Android apps, FonePaw app will also ask you to allow permission of some data on your phone so it can analyze and detect your device fluently.
- Tap "Allow" on pop-up window to authorize FonePaw to access Contacts, Call Logs, Messages and storage. If you mistakenly click "Deny", hit "Retry" to evocative the pop-up again.
- If there is no pop-up on your phone, move to Settings > Apps > FonePaw app > manually enable one by one. For example, tap "Read SMS messages" > Accept to get permission from SMS.
