FonePaw iOS Unlocker removes the forgotten passcode, Apple ID, and Screen Time passcode so that users can get into their iOS devices normally. It has both Windows and Mac version and you must install iTunes on the computer before using it.
Part 1 Wipe Passcode
Step 1. Launch iOS Unlocker and Choose Wipe Passcode
When you launch FonePaw iOS Unlocker on your computer, you will see three options at first. Choose Wipe Passcode to remove the lock screen passcode of the iOS device.
Step 2. Click Start and Connect Devices to Computer
Click the Star button and connect your iPhone to the computer via USB cable.
Once it is detected, your device information will be recognized automatically. If it is incorrect, you can change the device category, type, and model from the drop-down menu. When you are sure the information is right, click the Start button again and it will begin downloading the firmware package. It might take a little longer, please wait patiently till it finishes.
Step 3. Confirm the Unlocking
Once the firmware package is downloaded, click Unlock to wipe the passcode. Enter your Email address and Registration Code to continue.
A prompt will show up and ask you to enter "0000" to confirm the unlocking. Follow the instruction and click Unlock again to confirm.
Step 4. Wipe Passcode and Unlock the Device
Next, iOS Unlocker will begin the unlocking process and you can see it from the progress bar. When it goes to 20%, your device may get into Recovery mode automatically.
If your device doesn't go to the Recovery mode, a prompt will show up and tell you how to do. You can choose the corresponding device types and follow the instruction to put it into the Recovery mode.
After your device gets into the Recovery mode, the process will continue. Wait till it finishes and you can get into the locked device successfully.
When the passcode is removed, you can set up your phone as new, including Screen passcode, Touch ID, and Face ID.
Notice:
- Wiping passcode will erase all the data of your device. If you have backed it up on iCloud, you can restore it later.
- Your device will be updated to the latest iOS version after the unlocking.
- If Find My iPhone is enabled, you will need to enter the iCloud passcode to reset the phone.
Part 2 Remove Apple ID
Step 1. Connect the Device to the Computer
First, choose Remove Apple ID from the three options and connect your iPhone to the computer with the USB cable. On your iPhone, tap "Trust" to trust the computer. Enter your screen passcode to confirm. FonePaw iOS Unlocker will detect your phone automatically.
Step 2. Remove Apple ID
Click Start to begin removing the Apple ID and iCloud account in your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch.
Case 1: If "Find My iPhone" is disabled:
FonePaw iOS Unlocker will begin removing your Apple ID. Wait a few seconds and it will unlock your Apple ID successfully. When it is done, all data on your device will be erased.
Case 2: If "Find My iPhone" is enabled:
For iOS 11.4 and later, a prompt will remind you that your device is not supported.
For iOS 11.4 former, Apple ID will be removed successfully but all data on the device will be erased.
Attention:
- Don't update or restore your device with iTunes after unlocking.
- Don't use Erase All Content & Settings function after the unlocking.
Both of them will make your device link to the original Apple ID permanently.
Part 3 Unlock Screen Time
Step 1. Connect the iDevice to the computer
Choose Screen Time from the three options and connect your device to the computer via USB cable. iOS Unlocker will detect your device automatically.
Step 2. Start Removing Screen Time Passcode
Click Start to begin removing Screen Time passcode.
If the Find My iPhone feature is enabled on your device, a prompt will instruct you to turn it off.
When you turned off Find My iPhone, it will start removing the Screen Time passcode.
Step 3. Remove and Reset Screen Time
Wait for a second and the Screen Time will be removed successfully. Click OK and reset the Screen Time passcode on your phone.
Although the steps are simple and it can be used in any iOS version without losing data, here are two things you should be noted:
- In the initial settings, select Don't Transfer Apps & Data when setting up Apps & Data. It avoids data loss.
- When setting up Screen Time, select Set Up Later to ensure the Screen Time has been removed completely.
