How to Cut a Video in Several Segments

FonePaw Video Converter Ultimate is not only applying for converting video formats, but also can be used to cut a video into several segments. Let's get it started!

Step 1: Add files or directly drag files to the frame.

Step 2: Click the Cut icon to edit the video.

Step 3: Cut a video into several segments. There are three types.

• Add segment
• Split
• Copy and create a new segment

1. Add Segment

Move to the Segment [1] and select the part you need and click Add Segment button. The part you selected will be saved in Segment 1 and the rest is extracted to Segment [2].

2. Split

Choose Segment [1] to set the start and the end of the video. When you tap Split icon, the point of stopping playing will split the section into two parts including Segment [2] and Segment [3].   

3. Copy and Create a New Segment

Go to Segment [1] and select the section you need. Click Copy and create a new segment icon. The fragment of Segment [1] will be copied into Segment [2].

Tips:

• You can set the start and the end through tapping the time up and down.
• The volume can be adjusted by clicking volume icon.

Step 4: Click Save button to save the segments. If you check Merge into one, all segments will be merged in one video.
